http://annapolis.craigslist.org/boa/3262907207.html I've actually seen a 13' Whaler almost as bad as this still in service as a marina workboat. |

He wants $500. That trailer is worth $500, plus you can get around 3-500 for the console and probably $150 out of the engine (assuming it's generally dead)...$50 for the steering wheel, $25 for the bow and stern lifting eyes...and you'll owe around $150 to the dump for a disposal fee for the carcass. If all that work is worth somewhere around $5-700 dollars net, then it's a decent deal. :) |

Everything runs out of value at some point. What makes you think the trailer is part of the deal? Besides its plain to see the axles, springs are rusted. Hopefully it will make it to the landfill with the boat. The outboard? You can find a better one for $500. Forgetaboutit. rich |

Take the hardware off the boat and stainless - it makes me sick to see a great boat wind up like that - what happened to it/? |

I know the boat well it was used as a push boat for many years in a Marine construction business. SRC or South River Marine construction. In the last 10-15 years I believe it has had 3-4 motors from our yard mounted on it. The owner called me and asked me what do with it and I suggested CL. It was mine for free or close and I passed as our disposal rate is now $200 a ton. Plate alloy boats fare much better than that Whaler did. B |

You could probably convert it to a very serviceable dock that would float for many more years... |
