posted 01-24-2013 08:56 PM ET (US)         It came on my "little old lady" Sport 13 with a Yamaha 40hp on it. It's the smaller of the two they make, good for up to 50hp. I've never used it, but I think it's supposed to block the thrust of the motor at idle, to make for slower trolling speed. Then you can pull on the string and it "feathers" into stream with the anti-ventilation plate so as to not create undue drag while planing. http://www.davisnet.com/marine/products/list_marine.asp?grp=mo2 It's in perfect shape as far as I can tell. $30 plus shipping.
