I am selling my 1987 Revenge 20 WT with near-new under-warranty Evinrude 150 eTec, with less than 30 hours. It is without a trailer.

I bought this boat from its original owner in Ohio last April, and it has been a fresh water mild usage babied boat for nearly all of its life. I re-powered her last June, bottom painted her for her first time, and have used it last season as a kiddie-shuttle and Barnegat Bay cruiser.

I paid $15,000 alone for the repower, with new gauges, cables, and controls.

She runs flawlessly, although shows her age with a fiberglass ding here or there. She is solid and safe however, and the engine has her on plane with head-snapping thrust. She will top out at 40 mph, but enjoys a real economical cruising at about 27 mph. I do not have fuel consumption figures, but the eTec is a fast, lightweight, and yet economical power plant for this boat, which has a 77 gallon tank. The floor is solid, and the hull is rock hard and steady.

If I were inclined to make this boat a queen before I sold her, I would replace one or both cabin roof hatches, replace the rubrail, refinish the teak trim, and do some very minor ding repair to the hull, and wax the heck out of her. I am not inclined to do that for time and logistical reasons.

I am selling her as my shore home has to be torn down and rebuilt. I am trying to get funds to help in that endeavor. Sandy has hit Normandy Beach particularly hard, including my entire area. My home won't be torn down and rebuilt this year. Perhaps it will by the time summer 2014 rolls around.

During Hurricane Sandy she was sitting on blocks in front of my home. I pulled her out of the water the weekend before the storm. She is completely undamaged. She was lifted in the flood off her blocks, and once the flood receded she lay on my front yard. One of the pictures I am including in the link below shows her post-flood-recession. Insurance has covered moving her to McCarthy's Marine, where he cleaned her, confirmed with adjusters that the engine is pristine, and the hull is undamaged. Insurance has also covered the loss of my weather curtain set, some cushions, and winterizing her and shrink-wrapping her. While I wish the boat was damaged from a personal perspective - she was not, and so I hope to recoup funds through a sale instead.

The boat is at McCarthy's Marine now, blocked and wrapped, and he will show it to anyone who is interested. The boat's asking price is $19,900 or something like that, but feel free to make a reasonable offer. This boat has the potential to be a real beauty, whether you fish or cruise, is reliable with brand new power, and I have easily $25,000 into her.

A new 150 eTec would run about $15,000 installed. The one on the Revenge 20WT is essentially new with under 30 hours. How about thinking of it like this...

Buy this new eTec, with the new gauges and cabling, for $12,500, and I'll throw in the boat for $5,000 extra.

You would pay more for the engine and rigging and gauges new, and here you get a 30 hour mint-running engine with SS prop, and you can just sell off the perfectly good never-submerged hull off as you wish.

Oh and the engine is warrantied.
