down it Texas. You see, there were these two farmers in Texas with adjoining farms. One of them was the possessor of a great herd of hogs. One day the two farmers were leaned across the fence chatting. The conversation went like this,

I hear you are thinking about selling your hogs.

Why yes, I sure am. I'm seriously considering it.

Well if you sell them, are you going to sell them up in Dallas?

I don't think so.

Well why not, why wouldn't you sell them in Dallas?

If I sell them in Dallas, I can get 1.35 a pound on the hoof for em.

Okay,.....so?

I have been reading in the farm journal, and if I sell them in Omaha I can get 1.45 a pound on the hoof.

Omaha?

Yep.

You mean Omaha, NEBRASKA?

Yep.

Man, you have slap lost your mind. Just think of the time, just think of the time man that it'll take you to get those hogs up to Omaha!!!!

Aw shoot man, what's time to a HOG???

More then one of y'all are grinning,,,,,and agreeing. Aren't ya?

Not me, Not even humorous, but then I'm not from Texas. Ive been to Texas though so I can see how "y'all" can think its funny. I bet Rick Perry would howl at that story, even slap his knee.LOL

BTW where is the Whaler tie-in?

Could it be the countless hours many classic Whaler owners spend working on, restoring, modifying their Whalers. Time that cannot be justified economically.

What you missed is that the farmer was going to take digital photos of the pigs, to show they are young, and in excellent condition, with prime pork potential, rather than the worn out old sows that they are.

Laugh-worthy indeed, even for this Florida boy.

I think you had it backwards. The pig farmers were in Omaha, and the one farmer wanted to take his pigs to Texas for a better price.

Governor Perry probably can't even spell pig, it has more than three letters to remember. ; )

Holy smokes. Did Rick Perry run over your dog or something? Why the flame?

Then there is always "moonbeam" the governor of bankrupt Californica .

I will take Perry. We are one of the more solvent states.

Spuds, I thought this was about the concept of selling whalers!
