19 grand for a boat with no motor??
Makes my boat... 23 Conquest w/ motor and hardtop look like a bargain.

The boat offers a hardtop as well which is a nice feature. They were and still are expensive option to build. These are both nice boats but its simple boats are just not easy to sell. If somebody needs to put a motor on a boat and looks at brand new right there thats 18-23K. Add that to the boat value. If they purchased used maybe half of retail might be expected. Its tough both will sell but how much I'm not sure. Ideally boats that have been re-powered of this vintage are more in demand and will sell for higher but not drastically higher however they usually sell fairly quickly.

Your boat looks like it is in very nice shape. Mine was also a leftover purchased in 2001.I could throw a used optimax of the same year for about 4k.My thinking is that the new owner can repower with the engine of there choice. I am open to offers. But I am sorry, I am not in compilation with your boat. Did you post in the Whaler marketplace thread??????

I took the post down on CL for the winter. I am really still on the fence about selling it because its a great boat that I wont find again anytime soon. I would consider trading it down to something a bit smaller to hit around the back bays, but I have to see.
Good luck with the sale of the boat, once the weather breaks it'll be boat buying season again around here.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread but I just purchased this same model last week. I drove up to Georgia from Miami to pick it up. It has been covered its whole life, with an original trailer that has never seen the water (used a lift). Hardtop ,1999 250 optimax with 317 hours. All original everything except the stereo. Every single switch and accessory worked as it should. Original 15 year old full cover. I was in the market for this exact model for about 6 months, and I remember the one here without power. . I was shocked with the asking price without power, so I just skipped add. I paid 18k, but after I flew to Ga to look at the boat $500, repaired the trailer for transport ($600) and then drove up to pick up the boat ($600). The thing is, I am willing to pay much more for a boat that has been covered, cared for and out of the weather. The 21 Conquest I bought is amazing, not even a loose screw.
At the end of the day the boat is worth what some is willing to pay for it. I wouldn't have minded buying one without power, but used power can be tricky and new power is 20k. I have looked at most if not all of these boats on the market.
I am in the process of rigging mine out now with all of the bells and whisles. In fact, I have a Marinaire 6000 BTU AC on my back porch going in this week.
