I made this rear light and used it for a couple of years before I added an arch in 2013. It is about 75" tall, which allowed me to do away with the console light which caused me problems with night vision. It works well.
The light is from Innovative Lighting and is an LED. They call it their All-Round Ski Light. The pole is anodized aluminum from a pool supply store.
The light is mounted to the pole using a starboard disc with another part that inserts into the pole, which is in turn riveted to the top of the pole. The holes in the aluminum pole near the bottom are not pretty but they work fine.
$20 + shipping from 24014. This would be in a 3" diameter tube that would be about 80" long - shipping is probably $20-30. Alternatively, I'd also sell just the top light which you can attach to your own aluminum pole.
