Hi everyone I am new to the Whaler family so forgive me for my mistakes or lack of knowledge here. First want to say this continuous wave web site is the greatest. So much great info and everyone seems to be good people. So here is my story. I baught a 1965 Nauset 16 with a 1987 90 hp mercury and trailer. The motor didn't run and steering linkage was broke. I replaced the linkage and rebuilt the carbs on motor and all was good. Cosmetically boat was bad but was just using as a fishing boat locally so was not concerned. After 1 1/2 years fishing on it I saw water leaking from small crack on hull. I decided to fix it. So I disassembled the boat flipped it over and found there was a larger hole that someone in the past tried to fix with what looked like car bondo. So with this site as guidance I repaired both the whole and the crack the Boston Whaler way. As I said this site is great. I also noticed the gel coat on the rest of the hull looked like a dried up river bed, cracked and peeling. So essentially the whole boat needs stripped and gel coated. I do not have the time needed to do all this so decided to try selling boat as is so whomever buys it can fix it up. I will let it go for $300.00 the trailer and motor are worth that not to mention Bimini top. As I said the boat is a total rehab but solid and everything is there. I live in Riverside CA.
