I am selling a pair of 1994 counter-rotating Yamaha 150 hp two stroke outboards. They came on a 24 Outrage (1994) I purchased but I have not run them. The mechanic that did the sea-trial said the carbs should be cleaned. The port engine also has a knocking noise and thought it could be a connector rod coming loose. The tilt and trip works great on both engines. I have all the engine controls and gauges which I could sell as well if you want a complete package however I think the throttle cable on the starboard engine has broken. They are in Los Angeles still on the boat but it's not in the water.
Price for engines: $4,000 obo

How many hours on these motors?

Did the boat live on a trailer?

What kind of props if any?

Any pictures? Thank you

Whaler27, I don't know how many hours. There are no hour meters and I will check the digital displays to see if they have the data. As far as I know the boat (and engines) has lived on a trailer it's entire life in California. I don't have the pictures stored online so I will email you some pictures to the email address in your profile. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks
Dave

Thank you.

I'm in OC so perhaps I can drop by to check them out.

Sounds good. I will be at the boat on Saturday doing lot of projects. I plan to give both engines a compression test. I was told by the mechanic that sea-trialed it, the compression is fine but I prefer to check myself so I know for sure. I spoke with someone last night that is very interested assuming the compression is good. He is planning to come up Sunday from San Diego. I plan to let him know once I test both engines and save him a trip if all is not well.
Please also let me know if you didn't get my email. I sent a bunch of pictures.
Thanks
Dave

These are still for sale. The compression test came out great. About 107 - 110 psi for all twelve cylinders.
