Hello,
I have been looking for a raider for the last 4-5 years. I am looking for a project hull in any condition.
Please let me know you have one or know of any.

I have been looking for an EX-USMC 19ft Raider myself. It will be the whaler that I hold on to for life when I find one.
I saw another post asking about 22 Guardian.
Here is one that is not too far from you. Just passing it on, if you ever pass on a 19 Raider, please keep me in mind.

A Raider is more specifically equipped and modified Whale built for the U.S. Military.
The particulars depend on what model of Raider you are talking about. The two that I am familiar with are the 18 and 22.

I never knew they made a 22ft Raider, I have only ever seen the 19ft model.

Thank you very much for the link. I always theorized it was just a Guardian that was misunderstood to be a Raider.
Have you ever seen anything in the literature or information from BW talking about the 22ft Raider? I know if anyone would have seen literature about this boat it would be you.
I just worry that I will start looking for a 22ft Raider when in reality it was just a Guardian that someone misunderstood to be a Raider.
Thank you for the help. I enjoy learning about rare whaler models.

The 22' Raider appeared frequently in the Commercial Boston Whaler catalogs. It was produced as a package, boat, motors and trailer that could be deployed anywhere in the world.

The 19 Raider is properly known as the 19' Rigid Raiding Craft[b].
The 22 was simply called [b]22' Raider
Good photos and descriptions of both on page 11 of the 1992 Boston Whaler Commercial Boats catalog.

If you care to scroll through the below link, you will find a picture of two of the original boston whaler type boats that were purchased by the Navy and Coast Guard and saw duty in Vietnam. I was told that those boats were purchased from local BW dealers and were then painted by the military. The BW boats are seen near the bottom of the scroll.

So it appears some differences are how each is outfitted? Raider has thinner gunwales, stainless plate over fuel side, no front hatch, aluminum console.
What about the bare hull...raider vs guardian? Is there a difference in fiberglass thickness, weight, etc.?
I'm asking because I have an 18 Guardian.
Appreciate the very interesting links and info.

Be careful how you power the raider. I opted for a 175 merc opti and total pia, too much weight, put one person in back of boat and scuppers let water back flow.

I made rubber tubes out of some rubber roofing that I fashioned w big hose clamps around the scuppers. I tied them up thus blocking the entrance of water while at dock, let them loose when running. Btw, 175hp was crazy fast.
