Current owner's location: Mentor, Ohio (Lake Erie) Previous owner trailered this vessel for boating in upper reaches of Chesapeake Bay. Unpainted, original gel coat inside and out, older bottom paint. New teak gunwales+ re-finished console doors in 2011 Power: original Yamaha 150, starts reliably, runs well, smooth idle, 38 mph WOT (w/2 passengers and 30% fuel load) no known issues. Carbs rebuilt, zinc anodes replaced, and water pump impeller replaced in 2010. Dacor water-separator fuel filter added in 2010: drained yearly--no water or debris apparent in drained fuel. Deck is solid underfoot, no soft spots over fuel tank area. Humminbird GPS/sonar Icon VHF, Shakespeare 8’ antenna installed in 2011 All cushions and 70-qt cooler replaced in 2011 Forward running lights replaced in 2010 Gelcoat cracks in the usual places, to be expected for this vintage Hull: solid & dry—all-over exterior “thump test” with dead-blow soft-faced mallet. No voids detected. Transom center tube replaced in 2013. Chip in bow “smirk”. Forward keel gel coat is rough (presumably from beaching) no laminate visible. Galvanized trailer, Bearing Buddies; new LED tail lights in 2013, new roller bunks in 2012, all new Stoltz yellow poly keel rollers in 2012 Power winch added in 2010, guide-on’s added in 2011, no dry-rot on tires 2 Lee rod holders in gunwale, 2 Tite-lok rod holders mounted forward on gunwale Deckplate over fuel gauge polished to like-new transparency. 4 off-shore SOLAS life vests, 2 throwable cushions. Waterproof case for documents & distress signals. 2 Fire extinguishers (2.5 lb & 5 lb). Anchor with 250’ of ½” nylon twist rode, spare anchor, sea anchor/drift bag with 50’ of ½” nylon twist. Your Outrage sits on a Cox trailer which appears to have the tilting feature still functioning making launch and retrieval easier. Cox was a top of the line trailer back in the day. Not unusual around here for Whalers of that vintage to have been sold with Cox trailers under them. |
