I purchased this boat in ~2002, and had brand new dual 50hp Yamaha's, along with a new hydraulic steering system, installed on it in 2005.

Believe it or not, the motors have been broken in once, taking a total of about an hour or so, and have been started maybe twice since then. Essentially, the motors are 9 years old but are brand new. While the motors might seem small, they push the boat close to 40 miles an hour and get the boat on plane surprisingly fast.

They were last run about 2 years ago, and were fine. I intend to have a mechanic change out the oil in the motors in the next few weeks, check them over, and run them again at that time. I don't expect any problems, as the motors were winterized for most of the time they have been on the boat.

The boat was stored in a drystack from 2005 until 2012, when I moved it to the carport underneath a condo we bought at that time (where it sits now, in Southport, NC). It has seen absolutely no use during that time other than the aforementioned break-in run.

The boat has a factory-installed (as far as I know) leaning post/livewell. and is in fairly good shape for a boat of its age (deck & transom are solid, etc.). I originally planned to perform a complete update to "Classic Whaler" status, but my health went south and those plans have fallen by the wayside.

In fact, I intend to purchase a new 15' Super Sport to replace this Whaler, as my health no longer allows me to perform the kind of offshore fishing I intended to do to the Outrage 20.

Let me know of any interest, and we can discuss a fair price at that time.

Update:

The motors have been serviced as of today (Wed, April 9th). A professional marine mechanic changed the oil & cleaned the fuel filters in both motors, and then started & ran both of them with no issues reported.
