I have a 1978 Revenge and thinking of letting her go.
1998 200 HP OMC Johnson Ocean Pro that runs great, I have done the maintenance myself and all is in great running order for many years.
I have a chance to upgrade and that is the only reason to consider selling.
The boat has been loved with some custom upgrades.
Custom fold down rear TEAK bench seat, fold flat for a sun deck and up for a 3-4 person seat.
Also the passenger seat has been rebuilt in wood and is now oversized and comfy.
Bottom of boat is clean, and I did the Interlux 2000E Barrier Coat a few years back just to baby the bottom for years to come.
I want help pricing this, and am open to offers.
As with most boat projects I have more in than I will get out, but that is what life can be like. Ready to allow someone else enjoy this classic.

Someone sent an email and asked a bunch of questions, so I posted the questions and my replies are followed by >>
Are there any large areas of the boat the have been repaired and if so, what was done and by who and can you provide detailed paperwork on any of it?
>>NO MAJOR REPAIRS. No damage to the boat from accidents or sinking or anything bad.
How many hours on the motor? Do you a recent full mechanical survey of the motor listing compression numbers per cylinder? Has the motor ever been rebuilt?
>>NO hour gauge on the motor, I bought the motor used and have put less than 200 hours on it since purchase 8 years or so ago. The motor was rebuilt when I purchased it, but rebuilt is overused. No major rebuild done. But compression is good, cranks right up every time.
When was the last time the carb's were rebuilt? Also, has the VRO oil injection pump ever been rebuild, replaced or disconnected?
>> I keep the carbs clean, and have personally never rebuilt.
I disabled the VRO pump and made the choice to add oil to the tank as a safer way to travel.
Has the fuel tank ever been replaced? Have the fuel supply, filler and vent lines ever been replaced?
>> I have replaced all the vent hose and fill hose a couple of years ago. Always have used a RICOR water separator. No water in the tank ever.
The tank is metal and not worth replacement. I pulled the deck and did a visual inspections a few years back, all was good.
What canvas comes with the boat?
>>I would not count on any canvas. Again, I can check my storage, It came with an old red/pink cover but not sure I kept it. Never used it.
What electronics are on the boat? What are they makes/models and vintage?
>>Installed VHF radio, with Shakespere Antennnae and great range. Installed AM/FM Cassette with 2 speakers .
NEW gauges when I repowered. New power shift at install of engine.
Is there are trailer with the boat? If so, what is it's make and
capacity? Is it registered and Roadworthy?
>> YES to trailer, I think it is a Shoreline, with rollers. Trailer was refurbished all rollers replaced.
Axels are good, tires are fair. I have only used the trailer local.
Brakes do not work on the trailer, Roadworthy for short trips.

"If" that is the case you would be asking about $5,000-$6,000 over market value.

Thanks John, I appreciate it, that is what I was looking for, a realistic view of what the boat would be worth.
I obviously have "owner restorer" fantasy going on.
I am open to the right owner, and any offers they have.

Paul, Its very easy to over invest in one of these - I've done it myself a time or two or three... A 21 Revenge is a nice boat - there are buyers for it. Your value is really going to depend on condition. Primarily gelcoat condition. Does it have the typical cracks and crazing or is it more mint? Has the fuel system been updated. Was the hatch recored? Bottom paint is a negative to some buyers - not so much to others. Does it include a trailer? Canvas? Electronics? If you posted up more detailed pictures and description maybe we could help ascertain a fair market value.

Thanks for the reply sraab928 I appreciate it, almost season to uncover. I will get better pics and description when I can, for now I was trying to budget the potential new boat against the value of the revenge.
