Thank you for your interest in my 1990 15-foot Super Sport. I am asking $6,700 OBO. NOTE: I am open to constructive feedback on the price -- I've tried to set an informed yet reasonable price, given the condition, accessories and location of the boat. Honestly, who I sell to is also important to me. I'm looking for a new or experienced Whaler owner who appreciates the heritage of the brand and will write the next chapter in this boat's life.
My Super Sport is powered by a 2002 Mercury 50 hp Four Stroke engine with (conservatively) 175 hours. It is on a 1990 EZ Loader galvanized trailer with extended bunks and side rails. Will load photos soon.
This boat was originally bought in Salt Lake City, and as near as I know, it has zero time in salt water. I am the 3rd owner and have owned this wonderful boat since 2006. Most of its recent time has been spent at Lake Nacimiento in Central CA, but it is now back in Salt Lake City.
Know this isn't traditional Whaler country, so I'm willing to help bridge some distance for the right out-of-state buyer.
The woodwork was just refinished this year. The boat comes with all the traditional bright work including railings and stern light. It also includes a cover and bimini top from W. M. Mills -- both purchased in the 2007-08 timeframe and in good shape. Seat cushions include a new bow cushion.
The boat comes with a 6-gal tank with new fuel line and a battery which is <1 year old. Also includes all the normal items required to operate a boat (lines, bumpers, fire extinguisher, paddle, etc.).
Recent maintenance on the engine includes a tune-up and engine and lower unit oil changes at a local certified Mercury Marine shop. Have trailered over 1,000 miles in the last 2 months and bearings are always cool. Tires are a few years old but in good shape with considerable tread.
You might ask why I'm selling? I also own my family's 1965 Nauset and its just hard to justify both boats. Given the choice, and the fact that the Nauset has been in our family since 1969, the choice, while difficult, is to sell my Super Sport. I know it'll make a great boat for a Whaler lover out there.
