I removed the original Teleflex hydraulic helm from my 1984 Outrage 25 this summer. It worked as it always has, which is to say smoothly with zero leaks. I replaced it because it did not operate as a no feedback unit - if you let go of the wheel the motor forces could turn the wheel - as I'm letting my kids learn to drive the boat more I wanted to not worry about the possibility of the wheel turning if one of them let go of it for a moment.
It is unclear to me whether this vintage Teleflex hydraulic helm is supposed to be a no feedback unit or not. The unit never leaked in the 4 years I used it and worked perfectly except for the lack of no feedback.
$20 shipped to you in the United States via USPS.
If you have a problem with your current vintage helm this one would bolt right up with no console work required. (The mounting holes are different than on current Teleflex helms).
