tthoman	posted 10-21-2014 12:59 PM ET (US)         1972 Boston Whaler 21 Outrage II Hull Number 00523 For Sale: a 21 foot 1972 Boston Whaler Outrage II. Boston Whaler confirmed that Hull Number 00523 was completed on March 23, 1972 in Rockland. My father took delivery on March 31, 1972. This boat is the original model Outrage and has the desirable ribbed sides and bow, teak center console and mahogany strips on the cockpit bulwarks. Only the very early Outrages’ have this hull due to difficulty in getting these boats out of the molds. A re-design, minus the ribs took over the name later in 1972. As such, this boat is quite rare and collectible and, given its age, in good and very restorable condition. She has been out of the water since 2002 at which time everything was in running condition. I have the removable teak deck inserts to the back seat cushions and may have the original cushions as well. She is currently on a Load-Rite trailer, also in good condition. This boat is truly an original and has been in my family since she was new. Since I no longer live near the water it is time she has a new home.
