I think you need to drop that off here for a test drive.

Quite a nice boat, I have run a 25 Guardian with twin 150's (a good friend owns it), its a wonderful salt water boat. Good luck with the sale.

Are you going to by a Vigilant 27 or 32?

Very nice '27.

Those motors would concern me. The early F225s are known to have an exhaust corrosion problem.

That would certainly be a question for the seller - whether the exhaust corrosion repair had been completed on those motors. Given the top-shelf nature of everything else, I would not be surprised to hear it had been done.

If the exhaust repair has been done, one would expect great life from those motors.

I agree that this looks like a fantastic boat. If the motors check out is should sell fast. Koyota, have the exhaust systems been inspected or repaired?

Hey koyota, I just read your original post again. Are you asking $60,000 for the boat and $63,000 for the optional equipment? So your total package asking price is $123,000?
koyota posted 12-03-2014 07:36 PM ET (US)     Profile for koyota  Send Email to koyota
The Selling Price has been reduced to $72,500.

The prices shown for Optional Equipment, Electronics, etc, were the prices that were paid. This is information only -- not the selling price.

I can contact the Marine Technician and ask about the exhaust system. I believe that this has been inspected but will need to confirm. The engines are professionally inspected and serviced every month with instructions to do whatever is needed. An inspection before purchase is welcome. Price will be reduced if any problems are detected.

Acording to add boat was never in commercial or military service making it even more special- you can tell by the pics she wasnt abused - just AWESOME boat plain and simple

I could only give my experience to OP - I looked for 27 Vigilant for 7 years ( there is one in my marina owned by local FD ) and couldnt find or afford one so I settled for 91 27 offshore and boy am I glad I did. I have to admit that offshore is even better designed well designed and more family friendly.
Just something to consider .

Offshore v Vigilant 27.

I would think the Vigilant hull would be a bit stronger with more glass.

However the below deck cuddy on the Vigilant is less users friendly than the offshore model. Both are exceptional hulls. The 27' is my favorite all around go to Whaler.

The outboard powered '32 Vigilant is the best walk around Whaler IMHO.

Selling price has been reduced to $71,500.

The boat is in excellent condition and a thorough inspection of the boat is welcome. If an inspection detects any problems, the price will be reduced to cover the cost of the repairs.

Wow, that is my all time favorite Whaler yet, beautiful. I bought a couple lottery tickets, would sure like to be able to call you and say, "get her ready, I'm bringing green stamps..." Very nice. Don't see guardians like this often...rarely, actually.

I appreciate MattInSandiego informing me about the potential exhaust corrosion problem. I finally contacted the technician who has taken care of the engines and discovered that the modification has not been made. If I had been aware of this potential issue earlier it would have been corrected, and I am disappointed that the technician had not already recommended the repair(no expense has been spared maintaining this boat). I received an estimate of $4,820 for the exhaust upgrade. I will either have the work done before the boat is sold or will reduce the price to $50,900.
