I had a 1969 Sakonnet and the console was dry rotted when I got it. I had a new console built and we used the old console as a pattern. The top board above the windshield was the only piece worth keeping and still in good condition. It is original and could be refinished to excellent use. I have some pics I can send. Thanks.

Is the "top board" still available? I have a 1968 Sakonnet with the original console. I had to refasten it a few years ago with new screw locations and West System epoxy. It's now quite solid with several coats of varnish. Not mint, but still looks great. The top of the windshield has some areas that were delaminated which I filled with a wood filler.
