After nine years of great times with my 1995 Outrage 21, I have to face the fact that I haven't had enough time to use it, so it's time to pass it on to someone else.

The boat has an aftermarket T-top and a removable rear seating bench (bench is not shown in these pictures), as well as a removable live baitwell.
It was repowered in late 2011 with a new OptiMax 250 HP engine with SmartCraft instrument package. Currently the engine has 54 hours on it. I bought an extended warranty that I hope will be transferable to a new owner (but will need to check). The steering was upgraded to a hydraulic system. In addition, a new 115-gallon aluminum fuel tank was installed less than three years ago.
The console-mounted VHF radio works fine, but the GPS/sonar/radar is glitchy and is due for replacement. In addition, there are numerous hairline cracks in the gelcoat on the deck and gunwales, and pitting on the upper segments of the T-top struts.
The boat was trailered for its first 11 years. For the past nine years it has been stored in saltwater in a slip liner under a mooring cover. It's important to note that it does not come with a trailer, and there is no bottom paint on the boat. So a buyer would have to obtain a trailer and/or consider bottom paint. The boat is currently due for annual service.
At this point I don't have a fix on a reasonable asking price, and would welcome any suggestions. The boat is at San Pedro, Los Angeles, California.

Thats a nice looking Whaler! Too bad I'm not in Cali anymore.

Thanks. Like I said, I don't a good idea of how much to ask for it, so any input would be great.

That's a tough one, seems to be that region determines cost as much as quality, etc. I'm in the Seattle area & our prices up here for Whalers seem to run a bit more than east coast. I love that model & have the '94 19' Outrage so just its little brother. I paid $19K for mine but that was in 2000 so don't think that's much of a benchmark. The engine is a big deal for your transaction....while I would prefer a newer four stroke, that's a pretty nice option you have on an older boat, & 54 hours is next to nothing. I imagine the motor cost you $15K three years ago....the boat is probably worth $10K....low to mid 20's would be my guess.

Here on the right coast, I'd guess you'd be around $14-16K.
You might actually be better off financially selling the motor and boat separately - sell the Optimax to someone with an old-school two-stroke, for whom it will be an upgrade, and sell the hull to someone who's interested in putting a modern motor on it.

Regarding valuations, try checking with BUCValu ( www.bucvalu.com/ . While I haven't used that resource in a couple of years, I have found their valuations to be reasonably close to market and at least one data point to consider. I would also look at the classifieds such as boattrader.com to see what others are asking, try to figure out how long those have been on the market and compare that information to what you find on BUCValu.
