Not mine but Guy on Craigslist here wanting to trade 2004 90 horsepower 4 stroke Johnson for smaller motor. http://nashville.craigslist.org/bpo/5024617760.html

He feels it is too big for his Montauk. Might be a deal for someone - white motor sure looks good on his boat! If the motor I have wasn't 2 years older than his, I'd be tempted. He's wanting something 2004 or newer.

I think he is going to have a hard time finding anything newer than 2004 of 90hp that weighs less than 320#.

The only viable option I am aware of is the new Yamaha 70hp which weighs 257#, which seems like a lot of money to step down in horsepower.

When I bought my Nauset it had an older Johnson 65hp motor. I can't say enough how much improvement in overall performance came with stepping up to a 90hp motor.

Was that motor manufactured by Suzuki?

My 90hp was a V-4 Suzuki, 2 stroke.

Have since replaced with 90hp E-TEC which is about 20 pounds lighter than the Suzuki.
