Have too many projects. Have not worked on this one in over three years. Many may remember that this hull came from California and that I have converted it from a side consul to a center. This hull was flipped and stripped of three layers of bottom paint, and had little sign of beaching. Small gel coat repairs only, and sanded to 320, began 400 wet, 600, 1200, and 2000, all by hand. Then 3M Heavy Duty Compound, 3M Finnesse It II, and finally two coats of Mothers Pure Carnauba Paste wax. It is nicer than factory new. New carpet to bunks of 1988 original steel trailer, flipped and onto the interior.

Started with compound, Finesse It II and now waiting for wax. I have not filled every old screw hole, including wear marks in gel from original bow rail which has been sold. Side rails near perfect condition and ready to be remounted. Duplicated original Mahogony 5/4" side risers, new 3/4" bow locker hatch, and a custom 5 1/2" tall X 1 3/4" thick solid Mahogony consul base all prepped and finish sanded awaiting two coats of West System epoxy, and eight coats Spar varnish. Battery designed centerline, inside consul base.

Includes small fiberglass consul from (I can't remember boat manufacturer from Charleston, but windshield sub contractor still in business) which will be mounted to custom piano hinged wooden base. Custom ordered mini leaning post minus Whale Tail or rocket launchers because I fish out the back and usually on the hook. Custom 18 gallon aluminum fuel cell fits below leaning post. I drilled through the floor inside the consul base, and created a rigging tube, removing all foam and had High and Dry Boatworks in Charleston, SC glass and gel coat it. Original deck ready to be secured in place, identical to factory CC, after rigging is complete. Tube runs into sump well and may or may not require a small bilge pump, included.

Consul has not been cut into. I have original helm, but need a new 11' cable. Also includes custom 13" stainless steel finger grooved steering wheel. Factory original new OEM rub rail. New stainless steel bow chock/navigation light. Chrome Norman Pin. Correct sized speaker wire to run inside rub rail to bow light and through gunnel to fuse block. All hardware is Perko and 316 grade stainless steel.

I have not purchased 316 SS from CMI yet. Would like to replace all six stansion bases, rail stand-offs, and two inner and two outer transom "D" lifting rings. I have sold the 2009 Yamaha F60 new in crate, and the manual jack plate. However, I have the engine wiring harness, smart gauge, remote key switch, 704 binnacle, and the new smaller version of the Racor fuel/water separator, filter, and clear bowl with drain.

Boat needs attention to detail to complete, and $7800.00 for a new F70 if no small children navigating!!! This truly designed as a stand up rig, but even sitting, this boat will have a higher center of gravity, but all weight is designed centerline, and I have done my best not to change the center of buoyancy. Yes, this is my second complete refurb of a classic 15 and I have learned a lot!

Now assessing a price? I know that you never get your time or money back out of a refurbished boat. However, I finished my 1982 Sport in just over a year. I feel that it was worth $12,500 in time and labor. Could I have gotten it in June 2005 with a brand new F60? Don't know. But after ten years, always garage kept, heavily washed and flushed after every use I recently sold it for $8500.

I would like to find a buyer who appreciates how much I have completed so far and interested in completing. I feel everything included is worth $4500.00 or best offer. I would be willing to complete all wood work, install side rails, side risers, bow hatch, secure consul base to deck and mount consul, for an agreed fee. Even the SS piano hinge is 316 grade!

Completed hull, minus engine, would be over 5000. And I want the buyer to have choice of power. I will sell all Yamaha parts separately, and am qualified to pick up, install and have rigging certified by outboard supplier of your choice, initiating all warranties.
