posted 07-23-2000 05:01 PM ET (US)         I'm new here so please bear w/ me. Just purchased a 62,13ft. whaler. The rub rail, hull etc. is in very good shape. However the entire inside (deck etc.) has been painted gray. Seats, console are weathered but can refinish with no problem. My problem is some of the deck paint has weathered plus "gunnels" show some slight surface cracks I need to do something. Your advice please - should I sand off the painted rough spots and repaint or refinish the entire inside w/ gel coat? This little boat has real potential so I want to do it right. Input please.
