cavie	posted 01-27-2001 07:13 PM ET (US)         The wood that is in my boat is several diffrenttypes of woods. What kind wood came in the boat from the factory. Should it be oiled or varnished. Any body got a used set or new one setting around for sale.

I varnished my wood work rather than oiled it because I believe the varnish will protect from spray, salt etc. better than oil. But, that's just my opinion. DWJ...
andygere	posted 01-27-2001 11:05 PM ET (US)             To my knowledge, the only wood used on 13 interiors was mahogany, and the finish was varnish. The bow locker cover on some years was marine plywood with mahogany veneer, also varnished.
