I have over 60 holes drilled in the side of my boat. None are larger than 1/2 inch. Any good ideas for patching other than silicone caulking. What is the normal process what fixing spider web cracks in the bottom of the boat. Any ideas

Cavie,
I don't know about you, but I have fery little to no skill in those kinds of repairs

I bought a boat once the had holes drilled in the side for a cover, had stress cracks in the cockpit, the kell worn down to the fiberglass on the keel. I tried to repair these things and could not mach the color, and most of all could not make a decent repair. I found a freelance fiberglass man that made the boat look new for $400. With out a doubt this is the way to go. I just had to make sure the hull fiberglass was completely dry before the repairs could be made. So this might be a good time also to check the hull weight to make sure the coring is dry.

My best advice to you is to go to your local marine store and purchase the West System manual on fiberglass repair (3$). Read it cover to cover and then buy the West system epoxy and get to work. I used it to fill cracks, holes, spider cracks etc. If you follow the directions and use the correct filler, you will have professional results. Once last comment, it is very easy and a straight forward process. The manual explains everything in detail. Kurt

P.S. to my above post. Never use silicon to fill holes. It is not designed for that type of application and it will not seal for very long, nor will it hold paint well.

I'm curious. How did you get 60 holds drilled in the side of your boat? If you bought the boat from someone who put the holes in it, it may be because they fixed/tried to fix a delaminated skin. This could be a serious problem, one that I have dealt with before. If so let me know and I'll refer you to a previous post on how I fixed it.
