I took out the old corroded tubes from my 13'68 (both),went to west marine yesterday bought 1 7/8 " and 3" (only sizes available on brass), but they're too shorts.Do they need another part?. Can i get larger sizes? Where?,any inconvenient w/ the plastic ones?
Thanks in advanced for the help!

The original brass ones are available through Whaler dealers as well as the newer PVC ones. Don't think West Marine can supply the correct length.

I have done all the tubes in my montauk17. the dealer here said the order # for the tubs was such as ? well I'm trying to say that if ordered B/W would send what is the replacement . dose this make sence.(s/p) we had a hard a hard time finding the part # for a 1982 so what I did is go into the show room and showed him the new style tubs. and asked hem to order them for me.
note * the plastic (new style) are a bit larger and the fibor glass will have to be drilled out. for this ; I first dtill a piece of wood, with a hole saw. then you can HOT GLUE it in place. (to use as a guide to start the hole)
a normal hole saw can be used for this. I like (LENIX)
(s/p)
* I have the part # if you need them for a montauk..
hope htis helps. use LOTS of 5200 ... one LG tube is enought to do all the tubes...
kim.
PS.I think I saw some say they saw some tubes at west marine plastic ones might be the same thing.
