I need storage space on my 1984 15' Sport (Mahogany Thrwart seats, side console). Does anyone have any ideas?

On mine, I bought a large plastic Rubbermaid storage chest (tan and hunter green). It easily swallowed 4 PFD's, flares, horn, a jacket or two, some towels, and my the other necessities of life. It's called a Rubbermaid RoughTote Storage Locker, size 33 gallon (since we happen to have one at work with the tag still on it). I found mine at Home Depot a few years back. It keeps the dry goods dry.
I've recently graduated to a large Igloo cooler which consumes even more room than the Rubbermaid (no insulation in the rubbermaid!), but I plan to build a starboard bulkhead in the cooler to use it as a cooler, and a storage chest. I've always had to carry a separate cooler.
So, there's two options.

One thing I forgot to mention is that my rear thwart seat is jacked up 2" with spacers to allow the battery and two 6 gal portable tanks to fit under the thwart seat. This gave me room to sit the 33 gallon storage chest in the space between the rear thwart and the engine well.

I'm currently exploring some ideas regarding using some of the side consol for storage. As it is, the side consol on the GLS is pretty poorly designed - no storage and not much space for additional instruments like a fishfinder and/or gps. Anyway, I think that's about the only area left untapped, at least in the GLS model...
