Hi guys! Today I went to check the work being done on my Montauk and I would like your opinion on some observations I made. I notice that underneath the main deck, the foam inner core (which is visible thru some cracks) appears to be lower than the marine plywood close to the hull. I thought that the foam inner core should feel the spaces between the outer hull and main deck entirely. Am I right? Any suggestions? Futhermore, how should the holes/cracks be repaired. Should we replace the marine plywood even though it appears to be in good shape and/or relaminate the hole deck? In addition, the console on this boat had been moved further aft than the original model, I would like to place the new console in its original position, can you advice measurements?Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated. As a newcomber in restaurations department you are to me "gurus" of classic whalers restaurations. Thanks heaven for little boys!!!!
