I just replaced my tack. It works fine, but my trim guage does not. Yes they were wired up together ,but I had marked them so I could put back together. It acts like a short because the needle shakes a little. Big shot or some of you more knowledgable whalers out there could you please give me your opinion. I know every one has an opinion, but that is another topic.

Just tried new guage still not working. Question, could it be the sender unit?

With motor in the "up" position turn on the ignition switch and activate the arm on the sending unit by hand - you should get a corresponding change in the gauge. Make sure the wiring between the sending unit and gauge is intact, that you have power to the gauge and that the ground wire to the sending unit has not corroded.
