Overtons sells a product described as a flush muffler to create back pressure to ensure that the engine is properly flushed and at the same time reduces noise. See www.overtons.com/cgi-bin/overtons/order/large.cgi?37646 . Has anybody had any experience with this product?

Peter-

I've had one for a couple of years and I use it all the time. It has been helpful when I've trailered to the Ocean or Gulf (salt water) and want to run the motor when the boat is back on the trailer to flush it, but don't want to make a lot of noise at an otherwise quiet marina or condo. And I use it most frequently in my back yard (fairly quiet residential neighborhood) when I want to run the motor with earmuffs for whatever reason and not disturb everyone around on Sunday mornings (or any other time).

Peter:

I purchased this item about a yr ago and I love it. Really keeps the noise level down.
Would recommend it to anyone.

Fred
