Fill it yourself and put a decal over it? Just joshing, one can't tell you that from the other side of a monitor. Take it to a fe shops and see. If above waterline it will have to be painted to match and that is the hard part(especially once the gel chalks again).

Be sure that the "professional" you are considering for use in making the repairs is familiar with the Whaler Hull UNI-BOND contruction and knows how to properly repair it.

Unlike every other boat made, the Boston Whaler hull's foam is an essential element of the hull strength, and proper bonding of foam and laminate are important.

Whaler Customer Service has explicit instructions on how to properly make repairs and rebond the foam and laminate. Your repair shop should follow these recommendations.

Point well taken JimH.

When LHG gets back will thank him for the Whaler repair procedure bulletins.

There is nothing out of the ordinary Whaler recommended for the repair of a core based area, which by the way can be found on many other boats than just Whalers. My guess most professional boat shop have a handle on this type of work. Can't hurt to check up front to make sure.

Anyway rollcast in MD, I do know the shop mentioned has done a lot of Whalers both major and minor repairs plus total refinishing of the hull and topsides.
