This is my first post to this site, I have owned a 1971 Nauset? since I was 14 yrs old. During my ignorant years I desperately wanted to get rid of the dull powdery white exterior and even duller blue interior. I ended up painting it the closest thing to the Tan color used in the newer boats I could find. Now it's 18yrs. later and I have a better appreciation for the classics, can I get that paint off and bring it back to the way it was? I used a two part process I got from Interlux that I beleive was called Intercoat. There has been some damage to the bow of the boat also due to a throttle cable snapping while docking. Dad did the repairs that time, so I am unsure of the remedy he used. P.S. I have been running the boat with a 1969 Evinrude 60hp that I managed to pick up with only 15 hrs. on it. I just bought a 90 Yamaha at the NY boat show, so if anyone is looking for an older motor let me know. Thanks
