I know I posted this before, but I seem to have lost the responses. I foolishly put a down payment on a 15' hull. Is is older and has had a glass job. I have come to find that in mass. you must have a title and or numbers to register a boat larger than 13'. Does anyone know where these numbers might be? Maybe I can grind some of the glass off and find them. Thanks |

2 steel tags with HIN #'s on my '88. outside upperstern starbord side, and bowlocker |

I don't know the date, but at some point an engraved or molded in HIN was required. Before that date, the HIN was on a metal tag The mold id number on a 15 was painted with a stencil on the inboard side of the transom in the center, just below where the motor would mount. The mold is does not match the HIN. The two were different numbers of different sequence. This is covered in the FAQ. See |
