portisi	posted 03-25-2002 10:26 AM ET (US)         I know I posted this before, but I seem to have lost the responses. I foolishly put a down payment on a 15' hull. Is is older and has had a glass job. I have come to find that in mass. you must have a title and or numbers to register a boat larger than 13'. Does anyone know where these numbers might be? Maybe I can grind some of the glass off and find them. Thanks

jimh	posted 03-27-2002 08:49 PM ET (US)             I don't know the date, but at some point an engraved or molded in HIN was required. Before that date, the HIN was on a metal tag affixed to the transom. The mold id number on a 15 was painted with a stencil on the inboard side of the transom in the center, just below where the motor would mount. The mold is does not match the HIN.
