posted 06-03-2002 05:52 PM ET (US)         The Power Trim Assembly on my old motor has been problematic since I got it. Seawater has got in at some point, and although I can disassemble it, and get it working again, if history is any indicator, it will only last 6 weeks or so before acting up again...(It died again yesterday). The Merc dealer wants $972. (cdn) for a new unit. The motor will only be worth $975 with a new P/T unit on it. Any ideas on where I could try and find a used P/T assembly with a few trouble free years left in it? (Or any other ideas?) I will repower eventually, but have been procrastinating due to the high prices of new 4 stroke engines here in Canada (exchange rates aren't working in my favor).
