I know Spectrum has the gel coat repair kits and the quart size gel caot for my 1980 Montauk (desert tan interior/light grey exterior), but they don't have the spray can touch-up. Anyone know where I can get it?? Thanks

Check with MiniCraft in FL. I haven't tried any of their spray gelcoats, but their other products have worked well for me. The people there are also very helpful.

www.minicraft.com They have a pretty good online catalog.

Good Luck!

I have visited both web sites (Spectrum and MiniCraft). To you experienced gel-coat folks out there, what is the difference in the two companies and their products? It seems that MiniCraft have a lot more choices on gel-coat colors, so does that mean there were really that many different shades that Whaler used? Or is it just so you can match faded gel-coats better?

Has anyone used both products and has a preference of one over the other?

Thanks in advance
Ace

apparently you can buy a rechargeable spray can. takes compressed air cartridges. i have never seen one but i heard they sold them at home depot. supposed to be ideal for spraying gelcoat.
