I have a 100 hp GT Johnson V4 1991. I am having more water come out from on top of the foot and running out of the top and front of the lower unit than through the prop. I dropped the lower unit resealed the exhaust boot and gaskets, cleaned everything and put it back together. Now back together it does the same thing. Is all of the water supposed to come out of the prop and from above the prop or does it supposed to come out above the lower unit and drain between the mid section and lower unit. It does this when running on the hose and it is water that came from the head and is warm. How does the water route from the mid section? It seems that all of the water would come through the exhaust route from the power head. Thanks from any help. Archie

I don't think you have to worry about it. the lower unit is not normally sealed against the mid-section. |

Make sure pickup tube is connected. The waterflow around foot is normal especially when cold and at low rpms. |
