i have a 93 johnson 100 hp, sometimes when im docking and throw it into reverse the engine konks out, this happened on my last boat also which was an inboard outboard, any reason's why this happens to me?

idle too low? Run a couple tanks of Techron in it and see what gives. Try shifting faster, outboards like quick shifts.

Had the same problem with my 87 Johnson 90hp. I adjusted the idle up another 100 rpm, as BS sugguested, and it hasn't stalled since. Also, try 1 oz. of Yamaha "Ring Free" per 15 gallons of raw gas if you can't get to a Chevron.
