I recently bought hull # 17764. I am trying to relocate the eyelets on the transom. I cannot use the original location because it has been cut out a little to make way for the teleflex steering. I have the Whaler wood locating diagram. I shows reinforcement near the hand holds, but only for hulls after 4367. Any ideas, or is the transom able to support the eyes anywhere. It will not be use for lifting, only for pulling a skier or tube. Thanks.

huladick,

I think you can put them anywhere you want. The original locations did not have any wood backing either.

Thanks Tom... I noticed that in the drawings. Just hope I don't get into trouble. Not pulling much, maybe a skier/tube once in a while.
