newt	posted 09-23-2002 02:28 PM ET (US)         While standing in my '84 montauk, I cannot see the guages, and find it quite annoying to step back and lean down to see my rpms. Has anyone tackled/solved this problem?

Bigshot	posted 09-23-2002 04:41 PM ET (US)             I woul;d not get the angled bezels, you would not be able to see them standing up. They are for flat dashes like on a Mako or a 13'sport. Now on a newport they might work so you could read them standing up but I think it would look goofy.
Taylor	posted 09-23-2002 05:43 PM ET (US)             If you can see any part of the gauge, you might consider rotation to bring the interesting part of the range into view. A friend did this in his Porche. Pesonally, I don't need to see my RPM's that ofen in a boat.
Bigshot	posted 09-24-2002 10:52 AM ET (US)             Porches come that way, so did Alfas. I had my Checkmate's tach set up so that WOT was 12 O'clock. This way I knew if I was above or below peak.
