Teddymilo	posted 09-26-2002 02:49 AM ET (US)         Can any body help me please. I have a 1987 45hp Merc Outboard and I need to shorten the shift cables. I beleive they are Morse type. Can they be shorten and if so how do you go about it. I thank you for any help you can give me.

Bigshot	posted 09-26-2002 10:43 AM ET (US)             Just do as Clark says and wrap them(not too tight and wire tie until you need to replace. If you can put it somwhere unnoticable even better.
