I tried this question in the General Section, No luck yet: I have been considering having the cast bronze bow chock/running light assembly on my 87' 15' Sport CC re-chromed. The thing consists of a base piece with chocks screwed through the rub-rail, a circular rope guide,
and a dome lens assembly on top. I took off the port/starboard dome shaped lens assembly, can't see how you get to the bulb for changing. The dome lens cover has a black plastic assembly inside it that holds the bulb armature and wiring in place inside the casting. It seems to be press-fit into place, no screws visible. Short of prying it out, I can't see how you can get this plastic part out to get to the bulb. If I decide to re-chrome, this armature and the red/green lenses will have to come out. My local BW dealer says these bow chock/light assemblies are no longer made, so I don't want to risk damaging it. Is this a question for BW tech support?
