I have a 25hp Evinrude 20" shaft and I am installing it to aluminum extension plates on the back of an notched transom 13' whaler.
However, I see the problem of not being able to pull out the trim pin to adjust the motor angle due to the extension plates on each side.

Is my only option to keep it in 1 position only ?
Or should I drill a hole in the side of the extension plate to pull the pin out ?
Or get a trim n tilt kit ?

I am thinking of the TNT kit, but don't know the costs or complexities of the install job.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Dave

CMC plate is about $400 installed. On a 13' I run my 25" on the 2nd from the top hole(3rd hole). If I run it on top hole(4th) she will porpoise and hole shot stinks. If I run it on 2nd hole it will be slow and stuff the bow. Basically it would not be a big deal to just leave it in the 1 position because that is where you will be running anyway.
