i have a 1980 Montauk on a shoreline trailer. Saltwater has put the springs in bad shape. I thought I would change them before the season started. I am having a hard time getting the front bolt out. I tried oil, a maul, and a small air chisel. The bolt moved about 1/2" and stopped. Any suggestions?

There is one solvent i use, "p and B. Its available a pep boys. Let it soak for a day or so. If this dosen't lossen than use a hot wrench. In other words, burn them off. Saves a lot of time and effort. Jim

southernwhaler - when you see corrosion such as you have, it is time to take the gloves off - so to speak. A heavy duty air chisel often can be used to go through the nut. But, if you have it, use the cutting torch and save your knuckles, frustration and time. -------- Jerry/Idaho
