Does anyone know what the round, female 2-prong outlet on my Outrage 22 console switch panel is for? I've seen it on others, and I think it is OEM. It seems to be some type of 12v accessory outlet, but for what? If you look at the upper left corner of the left panel on LHG's Outrage 25, you'll see what I'm talking about: http://www.continuouswave.com/whaler/cetacea/images/consoleDetail512x335.jpeg

Andy-

That's a 12V accessory outlet. That 2-prong configuration isn't used as much anymore, especially on smaller boats, as the "cigarette lighter" socket, but you could still buy both the male and female parts the last time I looked for them in most marine catalogs and chandleries.

I made a little converting device that takes the little outlet and converts it into a Cigarette lighter outlet. Cost about $10 and I didn't have to drill another huge whole in my console.

Thanks guys. I think I'll steal John's idea and make a pigtail for standard cigarette lighter socket to plug into this one.

I believe the outlet is a Perko 1189 DP CHR(chromed zinc) or 1190 DP CHR (chromed brass). 1189 DP 99A is a replacement plug/cover.

Taylor and Seadog both produce similar items and you can get just the plugs on those. The Taylor plug is part number 1510 and the Seadog plug is 426144-1. Unfortunately I don't know if either of those plugs will work with the Perko outlet.
