Guys,

What is the best way to get the vinal material on the stern seat of a classic 18' 6" hull resurfaced? The hardware is in great shape, but the seating area material is cracked and hole ridden from UV.

I know about Dave's and Halls, but do they sell replacement "skins"? Should I just go local (Boston)?

Thank you, Ed

Hi,

Oakum Bay in Marblehead, MA can fix you up. They do exceptionally nice upholstery work, but are a bit pricey. Ask for Dave Arthur 781-631-8983.
I live in Prides Crossing, MA and have a an 18 Outrage which they recushioned and recovered about five years ago. Still looks great. Made of closed cell foam to prevent water logging, etc. Also, try Art's Auto Upholstery in Brockton, 508-586-2137. They are an OEM seat mfg for Whaler.

Good luck,

Craig Walker
