Before I put the refinished cooler cleats along with everyhing else that will touch the floor or in screwed in around the center console...what do I need to put doun first to avoid water getting in from the mounting holes..Seems like there should be some kind of "goo" applied first not sure what to do or wehat to use

I put down silicone sealer just around and all over the screws.

3M 101, as per Jim's post, or 3M 4200 (which I have seen somewhere recently, like Overtons or Bass pro Shops, etc. in very handy *small* tubes, like about an ounce).

This is how I do it -
with a syringe squirt 2 part epoxy into the
hole, brush over the area sanded with the 2 part epoxy, let it sit overnight, rough sand the area, wipe area off -well- with MEK, then apply your Spectrum color match,
