Not looking good...she has 101 psi compression in No. 3 cylinder, about 120 in the other three. Starting to "tick" at low and mid-range RPM (2000-4000). My 4-stroke fund went to the IRS, so does anyone know a good machine shop in the SF bay area?

Don't bother yet. Run some decarb through it or run it on straight Techron and let sit overnight. You might just have a stuck ring from carbon. You are marginal on your comp test but it could still go another 500 hours that way. My Yamaha had a middle cyl of 120 and upper and lower of 135 for years.
