I need to go to work and stop all this reading and posting on this site.

Another question. What is the white plastic material called that is used for the bait station cutting, and where can it be found? I need a couple of pieces maybe 8x10 or 12.

Thanks in advance.

The one white marine plastic I have seen is called Starboard and should be available at any marine dealer. I got a small piece from a marine fabricator

It can be worked with wood tools and I have used it for various functions where I wanted to replace a small amount of wood.

The plastic is Polyethylene. The difference between the Starboard type material versus the cutting board material is that the one designated for Marine use have UV light inhibitors added to the plastic. This will keep it from breaking down under prolonged exposure to sunlight. Starboard is good stuff, easy to work with wood tools and holds screws well.

Starboard is available from many sources, including the big marine mail-order houses and Cabelas & Bass Pro Shops.

You might look at the Starboard transducer mounting plates - they're not much bigger than the size you're looking for.

Aldog,
Last year I bought a piece of starboard off of ebay. Since then when I need a piece I just email him and he cuts the piece a sends it out the same day.
Starboard comes in alot of colors including; white, black, green, blue, and a tan that is real close to the desert tan of the older whalers. It also comes in alot of different thicknesses.
Just email him and he usually responds right away. He is also very reasonable, I just bought a piece this morning; 3/4' X 6' X 19" black for $7.50.
His name is Howard Everton and email is; heverton@msn.com .
Good Luck

You can get it cut to size at TAP Plastics.
They are nationwide, check the yellow pages
under Plastic.

There's another difference between Starboard
and cutting board masterial besides the UV
inhibitors in Starboard: the cutting board
stuff has something added to keep it sanitary.
