Can anyone advise on the best material for protecting the bow from a swinging anchor on an Outrage 24. Too often when hauling in heavy seas, the anchor bangs on the bow scratching and chipping it. Is there any rubber or self adhesive tape that won't make the boat look too ugly?

Dunno about an O24, but on my Montauk I bring the anchor
up midships. Knees on the gunwale, butt on the console,
lean way out. It helps to be 6' 5".

You have to time it right and move quickly. You only have to cover a few feet so don't give the anchor too much time to swing.

There's too much area to protect on the bow. You may be able to rubbercoat you'r anchor but it will loose holding power. The only other alternative is a longer bow pulpit.
