I have a 1981 Johnson Javelin and while the Clymer shop manual refers to anodes (plural) the only unpainted metal I can find is the trim or steering tab which appears to have little corrosion. The boat is on a cradle by the seawall and not left in the water so I am not concerned but want to know all I can about maintaining this motor.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have already learned a bunch by reading your posts.

Thanks for a great site.

Generally there is also an anode under the engine bracket, more like a plate.

Thanks.

If the rain ever lets up I'll go out and have a better look.
