cc378	posted 08-13-2003 02:03 PM ET (US)         I am looking at an 11 Foot whaler that has a 6" circle of foam showing under the bow locker. Is this normal? What purpose does it serve?
BillB	posted 08-13-2003 02:10 PM ET (US)             Completely normal. It is known as a sprue. During construction of the hull it allows foam to be both introduced and vented.
