I forgot to measure the actual decal loction on hull before I had the entire hull reworked. Would somebody please measure and let me know exactly where I need to install the new decals. The old 1968 is coming together quickly and looking good considering it has been in a fire.
Thank you, Allen

1968 13 footer? I just got one myself last week, for a winter project. We'll have to trade info.
As for the decal location, I can see the 'shadow' where mine were originally tomorrow & will post it here.
I have been searching around (ebay) for correct replacement decals.

Ok, i'll try to describe the best I can, I'm too lazy to use a picture & drawing program.
Looking at the Port side of the boat.
Bow is on left, stern is on right.
Ok, on the decal, looking at the lowest point on the right part. OK, that point ( on my 1968 13footer ) is exactly
3-7/8 up from the bottom edge of the boat, and 10-1/2 from the stern edge. In inches of course.
Does that translate?
Any clarification, please ask.
Also, I'm still looking for a place to get replacement decals.
Dan

BTW, the decal is different on my 1986 13' SS. That decal is 18" long, and located closer to stern.

What is the overall length of the decal? I got the replacement from a Boston Whaler dealer. They order the decal directly form Whaler. I am concerned it might not be the right size. Thank you, Allen

I asked that exact question here on the forums a few days ago & was told that 13" is the length of the original decals.

Just put some new ones on my 1962 restoration project on Saturday. I measured before removing the old ones so I'd know where to put the new ones after spraying new gel coat. My measuresments were 13.5" from the transom edge to the end of the decal(where the decal begins and goes towards the bow of the boat.) and 31/4 inches from the bottom edge of the side lip where the rub rail goes to the top of the decal. Hope you can understand my measurements.

Can I solve this one? DCM has the correct measurements for placement, however the 68's have 14" decals, are dark red in color instead of the cardinal red you see on the new models. Whaler1968, Whaler orders them from me, so you may have a 18"er, which I put on my 73-13, and looks much better than the small ones, (just my opinion). Let me know if you have any more trouble...take care,
Janis
